Who Will Get a Full Day From It?
The strongest fit is a child from preschool through primary-school age who likes LEGO and is comfortable with family rides. Older thrill-seeking teenagers may exhaust the ride list early. Measure every child before buying: the park's official height rules determine the usable itinerary more accurately than age labels or promotional photos.
Families with a toddler should plan around play spaces, shows, Miniland, and rest rather than chasing every ride. A stroller is useful even for children who normally walk because the park comes after a long journey from central Shanghai.

At opening, go to the family's single highest-priority ride. Recent repeat visitors commonly recommend Miniland, the Jiangnan-themed boat experience, and the larger family coasters, but your child's height and confidence should overrule any generic top-five list.
After the first priority, alternate one ride with one lower-pressure activity: LEGO building, a show, Miniland, the 4D cinema, or an indoor play stop. This rhythm prevents a young child from spending the whole morning in queues and makes bad weather easier to absorb. Protect one proper seated lunch or rest, then use live waits to choose the afternoon zone rather than crossing the park for every short queue.

Avoid the cheap but slow direct bus toward Shanghai Songjiang Station unless price matters more than an extra hour and considerable walking. A taxi or private car reduces transfers but still needs peak-day traffic and parking time.
