Yandao Mountain Park
Overview
Yandao Mountain Park is a stunning coastal park located at the eastern end of Fushan Bay in Qingdao's Shinan District. Surrounded by Donghai Road, Zhuhai Branch Road, Macau Road, and Jinwan Road, this park stands like a sparkling pearl along the coastline. Despite its modest size of 20,000 square meters, it offers an impressive variety of natural and cultural landscapes.
Historically, Yandao (meaning "Swallow Island") was originally a barren area when Qingdao first opened as a port. During the Ming Dynasty, it was actually an island that gradually connected to the mainland through natural sedimentation and human intervention, taking its current peninsula form during the mid-Qing Dynasty. Today, the once-desolate land has transformed into a vibrant recreational destination adorned with lush trees and colorful flowers.
