Qingshui Bay Lingshui
Qingshui Bay (清水湾, Qīngshuǐ Wān) is a long resort coast in Lingshui, suited to sand, shore walks and time near your accommodation. Different hotels, residences and public approaches serve different beach sections. Choose one that lets you move easily between the shore, a meal and a place to rest.
It is not one gated attraction with a central ticket office. “Qingshui Bay” can describe a wide area, so two hotels with the same bay label may have very different beach access, construction, dining and ride-hail conditions.
Find your actual beach access
Ask for the nearest permitted public approach and the walking route from your room or drop-off point. A map pin at a hotel does not by itself establish public entry through its grounds. Check where you can use a toilet, change clothes and get shade before settling down with children or beach equipment.
For a day visit, save the return pickup at the same time as the arrival point. A long waterfront can make it difficult to find a driver if you finish far from where you started.
Before booking accommodation, ask for a map pin at the public or guest beach entrance, not only the reception building. Confirm whether access is direct, crosses a road, uses stairs or is restricted to residents. Also ask about current building work and whether beach chairs, shade or showers belong to the hotel rather than the public shore.
A relaxed beach half day
Our suggested rhythm is a short walk along the shore, time on the sand and a seated break before the hottest part of the day. Stay near your chosen access rather than walking a long distance first and leaving the return until everyone is tired.
Families can make sand play and an easy return to the room the main activity. If you want another outing, keep it to a different part of the day or another day. The beach does not need a chain of photo stops to fill the visit.
For a one-night stay, use the arrival afternoon for a short shore walk and the next morning for the clearest weather window. Two nights give a genuine storm or fatigue fallback. A sunrise is conditional on cloud and orientation; do not choose an inconvenient room solely from one promotional sunrise photograph.
Decide about swimming on arrival
Clear-looking water is not proof of safe swimming. Use current flags, lifeguard guidance and the permitted zone to make that decision. Leave the water during thunderstorm or typhoon warnings and follow local surf or jellyfish notices. A supervised pool can be the more practical choice when open-water conditions do not suit your group.
Never swim alone or after drinking. Keep children within reach at the waterline and use a fitted flotation device only as support, not as a substitute for supervision. An empty unstaffed shore can be excellent for walking and completely unsuitable for entering the sea.
Walking and accessibility
Use an out-and-back route from a known entrance. Soft sand and heat make distance harder than it appears, and a continuous beach does not guarantee a continuous public exit. Turn around before the group becomes tired.
Wheelchair and stroller users should confirm a firm ramp, boardwalk, accessible toilet and pickup surface at the exact section. Resort marketing that says “beachfront” does not establish step-free access to the sand.
Make meals and evenings easy
Confirm breakfast, nearby dinner options, groceries and pickup access before choosing a remote base. Some retained visitor accounts describe limited services around quieter beach areas; do not assume every stretch has the same evening choice.
If eating seafood, confirm species, unit weight, cooking fee and total before the order leaves the table. A remote coast is not the place to discover that the restaurant or ride-hail service closed earlier than expected.

Boundary Island is the better structured ferry excursion when marine conditions cooperate. Keep Qingshui Bay as the low-logistics recovery day rather than stacking both into one schedule.
