Best Time to Visit
Spring and autumn are the ideal seasons to visit Little Yangtai Mountain. The weather is mild and comfortable, with beautiful scenery and colorful foliage making it perfect for hiking. Summer can be hot, but the dense forest provides good shade - just remember to bring sun protection and insect repellent. Winter is relatively mild and suitable for hiking, though warmer clothing is recommended.
Getting There
- Metro: Take Line 6 to "Yangtai Mountain East" station and exit from Gate A. Walk about 700 meters to reach the Longhua-Dalang entrance.
- Bus: Several bus routes stop at "Yangtai Mountain" stations. Follow navigation to the trailhead.

What to Bring
- Water: 1-2 bottles per person. While there are water stations along the trail, they are limited.
- Food: Energy-rich snacks like bread, chocolate, and beef jerky.
- Clothing: Comfortable athletic wear and hiking shoes. Bring an extra layer for temperature changes.

Hiking Routes
Main Trail
The journey begins at Yangtai Mountain East station's Exit A. The initial 1.5km features gentle stone paths alongside streams, taking about 30-40 minutes. Several viewing platforms offer city panoramas, perfect for photography.
The second half becomes steeper, with some sections reaching 70-degree inclines. This 1km stretch takes 40-60 minutes. Two path options are available:
- Left path: Shorter but steeper
- Right path: Longer but gentler, recommended for most visitors
