Transport and base
Dandong Station is central to the waterfront. The memorial is uphill and Hushan lies outside town; confirm authorized transport, return and exact drop-off.
Weather and margin
River fog, rain, wind, winter ice and summer humidity affect visibility and steps. Border and navigation controls can change access without becoming a tourism failure.
Where to go next
Continue west to Shenyang or east/south toward Dalian via confirmed transport. North Korea crossings are a separate legal and booking matter.
