Changzhou works well as a one- or two-night stop between Nanjing, Wuxi and Shanghai. The key decision is simple: China Dinosaur Park consumes a full day, while Qingguo Lane, Tianning Temple and Hongmei Park form a compact urban route.

One day or three different weekends

A culture day can link Qingguo Lane, Tianning/Hongmei and the museum/Culture Square. Families should reserve another day for Dinosaur Park. Yancheng is a southern archaeology/theme-park choice, while Tianmu Lake and Nanshan Bamboo Sea require a separate Liyang overnight.

Do not mix city and county distances

Central Changzhou has metro and short taxi links. Liyang, Nanshan and Tianmu Lake are regional products with station-to-resort transfers. Confirm the exact station and hotel shuttle before treating them as city attractions.
