Xuwen
Xuwen works as a two-part destination. Inland, the Sea of Pineapples spreads across working farmland. On the coast, Nanji Village and Denglou Cape face the meeting waters at the southern end of mainland China. Xuwen Port is also the principal road-ferry gateway toward Hainan.

Stay one night, preferably two
A rushed day trip from central Zhanjiang consumes hours on the road. Stay in Xuwen town for transport and food, or near Nanji Village for sunset and an early coast walk. Use one day for Denglou Cape; reserve another for pineapple fields and the Dahan Sandun maritime route.
Distances define the trip
Nanji Village, the pineapple-growing area, Dahan Sandun and Xuwen Port sit in different directions. A hired car or confirmed day tour is usually more efficient than joining them with uncertain local connections. Drivers should download Chinese map pins and allow extra time on rural roads.
Treat the coral coast carefully
The offshore reef is protected habitat. Do not assume that snorkeling, collection or informal boat access is legal. Use only a currently authorized operator or official viewing product, follow local closures and leave shells, coral and wildlife untouched.
Crossing to Hainan
Read the Xuwen Port ferry planner before combining Guangdong and Hainan. Vehicle passengers need an advance reservation through the current official channel; weather and holiday queues can change the effective journey time.
