Qiandao Lake
Qiandao Lake is a reservoir landscape of forested islands around Chun’an. The first decision is whether you want a managed cruise, an active shoreline day or a quiet hotel stay. Recent visitors often value the broad lake views more than collecting every themed island, so do not let a package’s stop count define the trip.

Pick one cruise zone
The Central Lake cruise is the classic first choice and often emphasizes high island panoramas. The Southeast Lake cruise offers a different set of stops and should be treated as a separate full product. Routes, departure times and islands can change with water, weather and operations; confirm the exact dated sailing at the official pier.
Add one shore-based day
Use the cycling greenway for a selected segment rather than trying to circle the reservoir. A relaxed lake stay works well for families and couples who care more about water access, pool season and room view than island attractions.
Arrive at the right place
Qiandaohu Railway Station is outside the main resort town. Confirm the hotel transfer and the exact pier—Central Lake and Southeast Lake departures are not interchangeable. For a broader route, use our Hangzhou–Qiandao–Huangshan planner.
Check the current operator page or official local tourism channel before committing to a cruise. Wind, water conditions and seasonal schedules can change the product.
