Changyu Wine Culture Museum: history first, tasting optional
Changyu works best as an industrial-history museum, with tasting as an optional layer. The 1892 company story, modern Chinese wine production, museum galleries and historic cellar make it a coherent central-Yantai visit. It also helps visitors decide whether a longer winery day is genuinely worth the transport.

Choose the museum-only or tasting-interest product
The museum-only route is complete: enterprise history, production interpretation, wine culture and the historic cellar. It suits non-drinkers, families and anyone interested in Yantai's modern industry.
Treat tasting as a separate interest. Admission does not automatically include alcohol, and not every visitor is eligible or wants to drink. Confirm the exact measure, age rule, language and package before adding it; never drive afterward.
Ticket and current baseline
The official site currently lists 08:00–17:00 with 16:30 last entry. A municipal April 2026 guide gives CNY 80 ordinary adult admission, with age-based categories and temporary promotions kept separate.
Check the exact adult museum admission on Trip.com. The selected listing covered admission only—not a tasting, bottle, gift, guide, cellar event, meal, outer winery or transfer. The checkout did not expose a passport-specific redemption statement, so confirm the accepted document and live instructions before payment.
Fit it into the historic-port walk
Open the Changyu visitor centre on AMap. It is about 0.5 km / 7 minutes on foot from Chaoyang Street in the AMap model checked on 21 August 2026. That makes it an excellent indoor finish after Yantai Mountain and the Historic Port, but only when the subject interests you.
Decide carefully before adding an outer winery
Yantai's broader wine identity is real, but a museum ticket does not prove that an estate accepts drop-ins, offers English interpretation, includes tasting or supplies transport. Choose one estate only after confirming reservation, exact experience, sober driver or transfer, cancellation and return. Avoid a self-drive tasting route.
The photograph documents the historic company/cellar exterior; it does not promise that this exact gate is today's visitor entrance or that the cellar is open. For the base and wider product choices, return to the Yantai guide.
