Historical Significance

The site, formerly known as Hongya Gate (洪崖门), was one of the seventeen gates of ancient Chongqing. After extensive renovation in 2006, it has been reborn as a modern cultural and entertainment complex while preserving its traditional architectural style.

The complex features multiple levels of traditional stilt houses (吊脚楼), showcasing the unique Ba-Yu architectural characteristics with its wooden structures, flying eaves, and traditional materials like blue bricks and stone tiles.
