Lovers' Road: choose a segment, not the entire label
Lovers' Road names a long waterfront corridor. For a first visit, use Xianglu Bay and the Fisher Girl statue as the fixed landmark, then continue by transport to the next purposeful stop.

Allow 45–75 minutes for the public viewpoint and one promenade segment. The sculpture is offshore; do not cross barriers or slippery rocks for a closer photograph. Heat, lightning, strong wind, storm surge and typhoon controls can close or make the promenade unsafe.
From the verified statue POI to Jingshan trail is about 5.7 km / 20 minutes by car. This is why the route should not be described as one tiny walk. Use a bus, legal taxi or ride-hail when heat or distance makes the connection unsuitable.
A first-visit coast sequence
Start at a public Xianglu Bay viewpoint, walk toward the Fisher Girl, and continue only to the next clear destination. City Balcony and Jingshan can form the second cluster; the Love Post Office belongs to a longer southern stretch. Visitor reports like the coast precisely because these segments connect, but trying to walk the entire label in subtropical heat can erase that advantage.
Save 珠海渔女 in Chinese and use the marked promenade. The statue is best understood from shore with the bay and city around it. No photograph requires climbing the rocks, stepping into traffic or crossing a storm barrier.
Bike, bus or ride-hail?
A compliant shared bike can be efficient on a cool, dry day where cycling is explicitly permitted. Check the parking zone before unlocking; seafront crowd controls and geofences can prevent ending the ride exactly where you planned. Helmets, children and baggage may make a bus or car the safer choice.
Zhuhai has no metro, and visitor reports frequently mention ride-hail delays or higher fares between distant clusters. Group the central coastline into one outing and avoid repeated cross-city transfers. Keep your Chinese hotel address offline for the return.
Timing and weather
Early morning gives cooler exercise; late afternoon gives softer light but larger leisure crowds. Check air quality, rain, wind and any typhoon or storm-surge notice. In severe weather, replace the coast with an indoor museum or mall rather than waiting beside the water for a gap.

The statue is a modern city symbol rather than ancient heritage. Read it within Zhuhai's late-twentieth-century coastal identity and special-economic-zone growth.
