Altay is a regional journey, while Burqin often works as its road gateway. Kanas and Hemu are separate managed scenic systems with long transfers; Five-Colored Beach is the shorter Irtysh River landscape stop.

- Five to six days: add Five-Colored Beach and a slower lake or village day.

- Kanas for lake, three bays and an optional upper viewpoint.

- Five-Colored Beach only when it fits the gateway transfer.

Transport and base
Flights, trains, long-distance buses, scenic gates and internal shuttles change by season. Confirm the exact gateway, gate, luggage transfer and last shuttle; 'Kanas airport' does not mean arrival at the lake.
Weather and margin
Autumn color and first snow create extreme demand and weather risk; winter uses different access products; summer brings long daylight and crowds. Road closure can reorder the entire trip.
Where to go next
Continue only with a major transfer plan to Urumqi or another northern Xinjiang region. Ili and Kashgar belong to separate circuits.
